Upper left: This bronze head of a woman (actually, a composite of two women), "Head II" was purchased

by the Mulvane Art Museum of Topeka, Kansas for its permanent collection.

Middle and bottom photos: "Head III" Using the same clay image I sculpted for "Head II", I made a new mold

and cast it in concrete. A completely different material from bronze, very beautiful.

Upper right: "Head I" My first sculpture. I've never taken a sculpture class, but I took a class in Lost Wax Bronze Casting

at Pratt Fine Arts Center. I sculpted the head in oil-based clay in my studio, brought it into Pratt, learned to make a plaster

and a wax mold, and once the bronze was poured, how to "chase" and patina the metal.
